Below are some of the traditional uses by herbalist’s of the herbs in this blend:
Green Tea: Is the most well-known herb in this regard, but there are many others that are just as effective, and whose applications go way beyond weight loss as they also detoxify the body of harmful toxins. The amazing Green tea contains the catechin EGCG, an antioxidants that help increase metabolism and stimulate the liver to break down fats better. Catechins also work as appetite suppressants when used with caffeine.
Mate: Mate is a traditional South American drink made with dried and aged yerba mate plant that has been taken medicinally for hundreds of years. It is rich in powerful antioxidants called polyphenals. The leaves also contain 24 minerals and 15 amino acids in addition to caffeine, theophylline and theobromine, which are found in coffee, tea and chocolate. These compounds stimulate the nervous system, increase muscle relaxation and decrease appetite.
Bilberry: When taken, this herbal tea stabilizes blood sugar levels and reduces cravings for fatty or sugary foods. The antioxidants also boost the immune system; improve vision and general optical health.
Peppermint: Peppermint is a natural appetite suppressant. It soothes the digestion and promotes healthy bowel movements by relaxing the gastro-intestinal organs. This tea contains all the essential nutrients for the body and controls cravings, increases immunity to prevent infection, relieves indigestion and promotes weight loss.
Ginger: Ginger tea stimulates appetite, digesting your meal better by producing enough digestive juices that makes you feel full. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-obesity effects that allows for the healthy weight loss.
Senna: Senna tea is prepared from the Senna leaves. This tea improves digestive health and has the ability to work as a natural laxative.
Cinnamon: Cinnamon helps control insulin levels, the spice has the ability to alter the metabolism of not only sugar, but of carbohydrates as well. Your body is better able to use your carbohydrate storage, so that they do not turn into excess fat. The consumption of cinnamon itself also causes a metabolic reaction. Similar to when you eat hot peppers, the presence of the cinnamon in your body allows your metabolism to speed up just because it takes a little extra energy to metabolize. This boost in metabolism allows you to burn more calories and assists with weight loss in this way.
Spearmint: Spearmint tea can benefit the digestive system in many ways, one of which is suppressing appetite too. A curbed appetite has as a result you’re feeling full sooner after each meal and feeling hungrier less often.
