What Is Juice Therapy
Juicing is a process by which the liquid is extracted from fruits and vegetables which contain outstanding nutritional benefits in terms of vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Nutrition’s in juices are bio-available and easily assimilated by the body and begin cleaning, healing and strengthening long before whole solids food can. In addition with juicing the body uses far less energy to breakdown juices than whole solid foods. The juice from raw fruits and vegetables has the powerful healing and rejuvenating properties that can help people with all sorts of health problems.
Juices are also the perfect medium in which to mix and dissolve highly nutritional powders or super green powders which will enhance their healing powders. The nutrients and herbs in these powders are better absorbed than tablet form of the same ingredients, and mixing them with raw juices enhances their solubility, digestion and absorption.
The juices bring the healing nutrients to the cells in the surface of the mucous membrane of the gut in an easily absorbed form, which requires much less energy to assimilate. People of all ages can benefit from juicing, especially the very young and the very old, or people with serious illness. Because they are easily digested and absorbed, they are superb for those with a poor appetite, nausea, digestive problems and an inflamed stomach or intestines.
Juices can be combined in so many ways to make them palatable and even delicious. Their diverse colours and taste enable huge variety so that you will not get bored making them. For those of you looking for an extra boost of endurance and energy there is nothing better than having a raw juice every day. Beet root juice, because of its ability to bring more oxygen to the muscles during sports activity, is now becoming a favourite of many athletics.
Green juices are vital to good health; they can be made from spinach, cucumbers, broccoli, celery, kale, sunflower sprouts, parsley and watercress. These are the most alive of the living foods. To this can be added beets, bell peppers, carrots, apples and ginger. These green juices are an exceptional source of chlorophyll and have a cleaning and alkalinizing effect upon the body. A pint of green juice can supply from 1/3 to ½ of the protein needed by the average adult each day.
Juices are unique because they allow the gut to receive very concentrated amounts of phytonutrients that could not be obtained by eating a normal amount of raw vegetables and fruits. As I already said juices are full of living enzymes. Every action of your body requires enzyme activity. Cooked foods contain no enzymes. Enzymes are complex substances which enable us to digest our food properly so we can absorb its full nutritional content into our blood. Enzymes have been describes, been so important to life, as ‘intangible magnetic cosmic energy of life principle’ which is intimately involved in the action and activity of every atom in the human body and in every form of life, you only find enzymes in substances that are living.
With this brief explanation, you may be better able to understand the value, reason and logic in choosing raw juices to nourish the cells and tissues of your body in the most speedy and efficient manner as possible.
