Part of the value of this Plant Based Nutrition program is to help you to understand the powerful effects of the diet choices we make each day—and how changing these may dramatically improve our health and well-being. These improvements occur more quickly than once believed possible. Connect the dots between what you eat and how you feel. Eat predominantly fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes.  These foods are rich in good carbs, good fats, good proteins, and other protective substances. There are at least 100,000 substances in these foods that have powerful anti-cancer, anti-heart-disease and anti-aging properties.

This is an unique and comprehensive 6 week Plant Based Nutrition Program (3 hours duration each class per week for 6  weeks) and it is an excellent blend of practical work (making and tasting various healthy & delicious mainly raw food recipes and home-make Herbal remedies) and food educational theory & knowledge based around the do’s & don’t of good food education and nutrition, and knowledge in the area of Plant-Based Nutrition and healthy  clean eating and living.

5 of the course modules will be based on food, nutrition and recipes and 1 module will be an Herbal Medicine Making workshop where you will learn how to make your own herbal syrups, infused oils, herbal balms, etc. and get samples to take home.

The course is designed to make Plant Based Nutrition & eating Raw Foods enjoyable and easier to incorporate into a person’s daily life as much as possible while on the other hand identifying foods that are harmful to our heath. Each module will cover helpful hints, tips and advice on how to eat healthier, how to shop healthier, how to read and understand food labels, how to make and prepare delicious healthy raw foods easily and quickly. The uniqueness of the course is that it will incorporate a mix of educational advice, knowledge & tips on good whole foods and nutrition and then the practical side of making some delicious and healthy raw food dishes.

During the 6 week course some of the topics covered in the modules will be: Clean Eating Nutrition, Raw Foods, Wheatgrass, Using nuts/Legumes/Seeds & Grains in your Diet, Sea Vegetables, Fermented Foods, Juice Therapy, Education on Food & Nutrition, Detoxing Safely, Sprouting, Healthy Smoothies for Children, Weight Loss, Enzyme Nutrition, Superfoods, Supergreens, The Alkalizing Diet & Cancer, Our Mood & Foods, Healing The Gut, Herbal Medicine Making, Stress, Diet and Your Health……………… and much much more…………..

While all the recipes we make and taste during the 6 week program will be RawFood dishes you will also receive each week recipes to try at home which will be plant based but require some cooking.

**As part of the course each person will also carry out a nutritional and anti-oxidant assessment to determine if they have any nutritional deficiencies.

About Michael:

The course will be delivered by a Fully Qualified Medical Herbalist, Raw Food Coach & Nutritionist, Michael Roughan. Michael runs his own busy medical herbal medicine clinic in Ennis and he also delivers many different popular classes/courses/workshops in all aspects of Herbal Medicine Making and Rawfood throughout the Mid-West region. To deliver a high quality course which allows people to get the maximum benefit from this course, the numbers allowed will be limited to just 12 places which will be given on a first come bases. Michael runs classes and courses in Limerick, Ennis & Galway.

The full cost of this 6 week course including all information, materials, hand-outs, over 40 nutritional recipes to taste, food ingredients, herbs and herbal remedies used, natural healing protocols, Individual Nutritional assessment, Individual Anti-oxidant assessment, recipe booklets & manuals and constant on-going support during the course is just €229 all inclusive.

This course will be run at 2 locations Ennis and Galway.

Ennis Details: The program starts in Ennis on the Thursday 19th October 2017 and will run for 6 weeks on the following dates: 26th Oct, 2th Nov, 9th Nov, 16ndNov and 23th Nov. Each class starts at 6.15pm and finishes at 9.15pm. It is been run at the The Junction, Cloughleigh Road, Ennis.
